e-ISOTIS To Participate in the International Day of Disabled Persons
On December 3rd 2007, e-ISOTIS ( http://www.e-isotis.org ), will celebrate the UN recognised “International Day of Disabled Persons” in Athens, Greece.
e-ISOTIS is already recognised for its continual contribution towards improving the life of the people with physical disabilities and the elderly and is currently working on a number of projects which use ICT to help do so.
European projects such as ACCESS E-GOV, AHVIIT ACCESS, ASK-IT, eAbilities, EMERGE, ENABLE and EU4ALL to name a few. All of these projects are worked in conjunction with partners from other European member states and also some large multinational organisations and end user organisations
IDD seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. The theme of the Day is based on the goal of full and equal enjoyment of human rights and participation in society by persons with disabilities, established by the World Programme of Action concerning Disabled Persons, adopted by General Assembly in 1982.
e-ISOTIS welcomes interest from all parties from around the world looking to work towards integrating people with physical disabilities and the elderly into both the work place or into educational environment.
