Workshop on "Care of socially vulnerable groups" from the NGO E-Isotis
The Not for Profit Organization E-Isotis successfully organized a conference entitled “The Care of socially vulnerable groups” on January 20, 2010 at Titania Hotel. The workshop, organized within the European project Casa, raised the issues of providing quality care to disabled and elderly and integrating migrants into the labor market. The project casa focuses on creating a service model that would allow migrants to both train and work as caregivers and persons with disabilities and the elderly to receive quality care and support. Representatives of the Ministry of Employment, Local Authorities, NGO representatives, social scientists, disabled people and workers in the social sector attended the workshop. In the course of discussion, the issues of supporting people with disabilities as persons and citizens were highlighted. Additionally the need to integrate migrants into quality jobs was emphasized.
