Latest Open Calls for Proposals / Tenders

In order to support you in exploiting programmes for funds addressing directly or indirectly the needs of your organisation, we launched this section in our website. This section outlines summary calls that address directly or indirectly, within their scope or objectives, opportunities for funding for organizations and of course for disabled and elderly people. In the case, you are considering to participate in any of these calls, e-ISOTIS is interested to join the consortium and provide support also at the preparation of the proposal.

Please also note that there are also some open calls that may not address disability directly but ICT & disability can be one of the complementary objectives. Such approach will enhance the quality of any proposal since it will respect the following four critical EU policies:

1. Provisions on accessibility and employment of disabled people have been introduced into the EU public procurement legislation and more specifically EU Directives 2004/18/EC and 2004/17/EC. In particular, with these directives clearer rules for the use of social considerations, such as possibility to employ a certain number of disabled people for the performance of a contract and consideration of accessibility for disabled people on the tender specifications have been foreseen.
2. The European Commission has recently invited the European Standardisation Organisations (ETSI, CEN/CENELEC) to carry out the standardisation tasks as described in Mandate M/376 in support of the European accessibility requirements for public procurement for products and services in the ICT domain.
3. Inaccessible practices, mean no funding from the European Union. In more detail, Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/ July 2006 and more specifically article 16, also adds that accessibility for people with disabilities has to be ensured at all stages of the programming, implementation and monitoring of the Structural Funds. This includes also equal access for disabled people to electronic environment like. Internet and information services, whether they are provided by public or private bodies.
4. In June 2006, the Riga Ministerial Declaration, signed by ministers from EU Member States, accession and candidate countries, and EFTA/EEA countries (in total 34 countries) that sets out the following specific targets: ensure that all public websites are accessible by 2010

In that respect, e-ISOTIS could participate as dissemination partner and/or consultant at a consortium in order to address directly the “Information Society for All” dimension. e-ISOTIS will provide the relevant contributions to the proposal at the writing phase.

Kind regards,
e-ISOTIS Information Team
