2006 - Check and Go
Scope: The project aims to fill the communication and information gap between people with disabilities and their potential employers and trainers in the companies in order to facilitate the access of this disadvantaged group to practical vocational training and to the labour market. In order to reach its objectives, the project includes counselling, training and practical support for an efficient exchange of information between people with disabilities and companies in the critical phase of the application for a job.

Target group: Our target group comprises:
- People with learning disabilities.
- Institutions which offer training and further education courses for people with disabilities.
- Employers or traineeship instructors in companies.
Project objectives: The objectives of the project are the following:
- To bridge the communication and information gap between people with disabilities and their potential employers or instructors in the company;
- To improve the communication skills of people with learning difficulties and disabilities;
- To help people with disabilities express their needs to others and describe adequately the criteria for barrier freedom they consider important in their case in order to be able to work;
- To implement the general quality standards of barrier freedom as requested by the peer groups when applicants with disabilities communicate with companies;
- To apply to the company the criteria for barrier freedom mentioned in the applicant
