2005 - Mentoring Validation

Logo Mentoring ValidationScope: Mentoring Validation project aims at the development of a validation framework for mentoring that will allow to evaluate the achievements of disability and disadvantaged people in the labour market, while also identifying those mentoring programs that make a difference.

Target group:
Our target group comprises in general employers, disabled people and other people disadvantaged in the labour market (unemployed).

Project objectives:
The objectives of the project are the following:
- To identify and evaluate key features of existing mentoring programs in order to produce a code of practice for successful mentoring
- To develop and implement mentoring programmes in Romania and Slovenia based on a thoroughgoing process of cultural adaptation.
- To promote in the whole Europe an efficient code of practice for mentoring programs.

This project is a European one that involves ten organisations from five different member states
- INFORMATION SOCIETY OPEN TO IMPAIRMENTS, e-ISOTIS, (Greece)
European Non Profit NGO that advances the use of accessible ICT and the conduction of innovative training focusing on independent living of disabled people.
- MARIE CURIE ASSOCIATION, (Bulgaria)
Non Profit NGO which activities address education, training and employment needs of disabled people.
- EUROCONSULTING LTD., (Bulgaria)
Consulting company in Bulgaria founded to promote training and professional development for young people especially who have left school at very young age.
- MUNICIPALITY OF SLIVEN, (Bulgaria)
One of the largest municipalities in Bulgaria aiming to increase the employability of its disabled citizens.
- H-FOUNDATION, (Romania)
Non Profit NGO focuses on educating disabled children and adults in Romania.
- THE ROMANIAN ASSOCIATION OF PEOPLE WITH SOMATIC HANDICAP, (Romania)
Non Profit NGO which aims to establish equal opportunities for disabled people in the society via educational programs and creating working places for them. 
- DOBROVITA PLUS D.O.O, (Slovenia)
Social enterprise that employs people with disabilities the most of them are people with mental health disabilities.
- SLIVENT, (Slovenia)
Non-profit Voluntary Organisation that aims to enhance the education and in general the services that are offered to people with mental health problems.
- UNIVERSITY OF LJUBLJANA, FACULTY OF EDUCATION IN LJUBLJANA, (Slovenia)
Department for Social Pedagogy that deals with critical and important issues in society in order to allow the social integration of disadvantaged groups like disabled people and unemployed people
- FRENCH AND BURT LTD., (United Kingdom)
Consulting company with extensive experience in all areas of training, including project management, evaluation, validation and quality assurance.

Project start:  01 October 2005
Project end:  30 September 2007

This project is partially financed by the DG Education and Culture of the European Commission under Leonardo Da Vinci Community Vocational Training Action Programme (Second phase: 2000-2006)
